Whether you’re a racing fan, a fashion enthusiast, or just keen on a day of fun with mates, Ascot Racecourse is providing the lot with five huge race days at The Pinnacles Racing Carnival.
Running from Saturday 12 November – Saturday 10 December 2022, The Pinnacles sees more than $10.5 million in prize money up for grabs, with four chances to compete for $1.5 million across consecutive Saturdays. It attracts the best of the best horses from WA and across the Nullarbor to compete for riches and bragging rights.
Don your best frock or suit and mosey on down for Spring Racing at its finest, where the fashion is front and centre, the bevvies are cold, the entertainment is unmatched and the live racing is as exciting as ever – there’s something for everyone.
Here’s the lowdown on what to expect from each of the days.
The Highlights
Some of the notable highlights this year include a 1950’s themed Crown Perth Winterbottom Stakes Day for a vintage affair, gentlemen’s day trackside jam-packed with entertainment on Northerly Stakes Day, and Railway Stakes – the oldest Group 1 race in Perth that’s been running at Ascot since 1848.
Plus, you won’t want to miss the big grand finale – The Gold Rush. This dazzling day will round off the carnival and wow racing patrons, with attendees encouraged to wear a touch of gold and go full glam (we’d recommend the latter) so you can really shine before capping off the evening with a live band.

Day 1
Euroz Hartley’s Champion Fillies’ Day, Saturday November 12
The opener for The Pinnacles is all about the ladies – so gather your girlfriends and dress to impress for a fabulous day of racing and entertainment complete with some bubbles and long lunches.
Day 2
Furphy Railway Stakes Day, Saturday November 19
If you consider yourself a mad race enthusiast, this day’s for you.
It will feature one of the most historic and prestigious races in all of WA, and a live band after the last race to keep the party going.
Day 3
Crown Perth-Winterbottom Stakes Day, Saturday November 26
Take a trip back in time to the fifties on Day 3.
Channel your inner Grace Kelly or James Dean and kit up in your finest fifties attire to enjoy 1950s-themed activities and entertainment alongside a gorgeous Races WA Fashions on the Field Final.
Day 4
Drummond Golf-Northerly Stakes Day, Saturday December 3
Calling all gentlemen.
Suit up for Gentlemen’s Day on the fourth Saturday of the series and enjoy an epic day at the racecourse with some cold beers and all-day racing.
Day 5
TABtouch Gold Rush Day, Saturday December 10
Finishing off with a bang, the big finale day is one not to pass up.
The fifth and final day of the event will be shining bright in gold, and encourages everyone to dress in an outfit that shimmers and sparkles.
