With Christmas rapidly approaching, our social calendars are likely filling up fast. Here are a few of the best things in Perth to add to your list.

Martini Spring Roadshow

Martiny Spring Roadshow Perth

“A medium dry vodka martini, lemon peel. Shaken, not stirred.” – James Bond.

An iconic line that helped to make the Martini into a cult cocktail favourite. However, there’s always debate about whether a Martini should be shaken or stirred. The Martini has now taken on many different forms and flavours with the Espresso Martini being one of the more popular.

From December 15th to 17th, head down to the Brass Monkey Hotel for the Martini Spring Roadshow. There’ll be a Grey Goose cocktail truck pop-up in the pub garden serving up $14.00 Grey Goose Espresso Martinis all day, every day. If you’re looking for a spot to go to for a pre-christmas catch-up with friends, this is the place.

Where: Brass Monkey Hotel, Cnr James St & Williams St, Northbridge
When: December 15th to 17th

While it’s hard to fathom that 2023 is almost over, it does, however, mean that one of the biggest days on the Perth events calendar for 2024 is nearly here — the TABtouch Perth Cup Day on New Year’s Day.

The Perth Cup is a hallmark and an institution that has been an integral part of Perth’s New Year celebrations since its inception in 1887. In 2024, this will be no different with Ascot Racecourse set to become the epicentre of New Year’s Day celebrations. The TABtouch Perth Cup Day is not just about racing; it’s a day of entertainment, a fashion extravaganza, and a day of luxury and leisure for those who seek the premium side of the track.

More information on what’s happening at Perth Cup can be found here.

Moonlight Cinemas

Perth Moonlight Cinema

The iconic Moonlight Cinemas are back for another summer season in Perth. December features a lineup of — unsurprisingly — of a few of the all-time great Christmas movies from How The Grinch Stole Christmas to The Nightmare Before Christmas and Love Actually. While we’re a little disappointed that the best Christmas movie ever made isn’t showing (Die Hard), we’ve already booked our tickets for a couple of the sessions.

Not only are they Perth’s most successful sporting team, but they really know how to put on a show. This season, they’ve refreshed the roster with the addition of some young energetic players and Next Superstar and NBA prospect, Alex Sarr.

Tickets start from $20.00 with the next homegame on Friday, December 15th.
