The festive season is upon us which means your calendar is likely filling up with long overdue family and friend catch-ups as well as the annual office Christmas party. However, at the top of your festive calendar list should be the Town of Victoria Park’s summer events.

Victoria Park is gearing up for a season of unforgettable events, with the return of the Summer Street Party leading the charge. This vibrant suburb, known for its lively atmosphere and cultural diversity, is set to transform into the ultimate destination for fun, food, and festivities. We have everything you need to know about the best events in Victoria Park this summer.

Summer Street Party

Vic Park Summer Street Party

Spring into summer on Saturday, 25 November when Albany Highway — from Salford Street to Harvey Street  — will light up from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with all-ages fun, food, activities, and entertainment with the return of the Summer Street Party.

Music

Right at the heart of the Summer Street Party, and the soundtrack to your day, will be a bumper lineup of local artists.

The all-inclusive Mackie Street Singers will be singing and sharing their good vibes on the main stage. The young dynamic duo of Siboney and Andy will run through their repertoire of songs from the last 50 years in their signature style featuring looping guitar and beatbox and drums. Then wrap the night up with local legends Joan and the Giants, freshly awarded the WAMI for ‘Best Alternative/Indie Act’ and ‘Best Single’. Catch them for bragging rights before they become truly massive.

Entertainment

Vic Park Summer Street Party

What’s a street party without entertainment? The day will be filled with experiences for all ages. Watch on as live art installations come to life, test your skills on the green with a round of mini golf, dance like no one is watching at the silent disco, and there’s even a street-filled foam party to help keep everyone cool from the afternoon sun.

For the kids, there’ll be roaming performances throughout the day, with fairies, stilt walkers, swing dancers, and acrobats, as well as face painting, arts activities, and of course, every kid’s favourite — a bouncy castle.

Then for the grand finale to wrap up the night, a daring fire show.

Food

Of course, let’s not forget about the food and drink at the Town of Victoria Park Summer Street Party. There’ll be a huge selection of food trucks serving up all of your favourites which will be joined by local cafes and restaurants welcoming all street party guests. The Dutch Trading Co and Blasta Brewing will host pop-up bars for those who enjoy a brew.
