Perth Startup CallOut App Launches – Connecting You with Small Business in Your Suburb
A new way to quickly find a home service provider in your suburb has launched in Perth.
CallOut App is taking on Google search, to help you find a small business ‘down the road’ – like a sole trader or small family owned business.
These small businesses might be fantastic, but are often hard to reliably find on Google search.
With many Perth small businesses struggling to market themselves in a digital age, CallOut is helping good, local professionals find potential customers.
“We really hated googling tradesmen for a job in Rockingham, when the suppliers were actually based in Joondalup. We wanted focus on finding local suppliers for local work,” Founder Michael Hedditch told TweetPerth.
“We saw an opportunity to develop a really efficient way for home owners and service providers to interact.”

CallOut works by finding a small business near your geolocation – similar to how Uber lets you find drivers around you or MenuLog lets you discover restaurants in your suburb.
You then send a request for help, then you’ll be responded to with a quote. You can then approve the job and pay in-app through PayPal.
The app lets you filter by service category. You can find home caterers, IT gurus, personal trainers, home cleaners. Tradies like electricians and plumbers; gardeners and landscapers, mechanics and just about any home service you can think of.
The app could also be useful for property managers and real estate firms looking after commercial offices or rentals.
