West Coast Melbourne Preliminary Final – The Biggest Ever AFL Game in Perth
The biggest ever AFL game in WA history is set for 1.20pm, Saturday 22nd of September 2018 at Perth’s Optus Stadium – the historic West Coast Melbourne Preliminary Final.
The Melbourne Demons faithful have been rewarded for years of pain, finally, in their first Preliminary final since the year 2000.
Who Will Make the 2018 AFL Grand Final to take on the Collingwood Magpies?
This is the fist time a Prelim final will be held during the daytime since 2011, when West Coast played Geelong at the MCG. The AFL wants to ensure early travel for the Victorian teams on Saturday night.
59,585 spectators set the WA event record at Optus Stadium against Collingwood. It’ll be interesting to see if that will be broken one last time in 2018.
