Western Australia continues to see low rates of confirmed coronavirus cases.

Health Minister Roger Cook has again confirmed some positive news for WA with only 2 local cases confirmed overnight along with 4 cases from the cruise ships Artania.

These 4 further cases now takes the total of confirmed cases linkedin to the Artania to72.

The 6 cases overall has taken WA’s total to 523, of which 251 are recovered cases and 14 individuals remaining in ICU.

The age group of the new cases range from 37-80 years of age with both local cases

Mr Cook has referenced that our community efforts to suppress are currently working and being very effective, now we need to go into a process of vigilance and double our efforts to ensure we continue to have these very low numbers. In turn, these could potentially see restrictions within the community amended in the near future.
