The Grounds QV1: Drink, Dwell, Dine

One of Perth’s most iconic CBD buildings, QV1, is set to undergo significant regeneration, with the first phase, a complete re-imagination of the ground floor retail plaza, already underway.

Co-owned by Investa Commercial Property Fund and Eureka – Real Assets, the investment will further position the building as one of Perth’s most desirable working environments and destinations.

To be known as The Grounds, the stunning, architecturally-designed space will become a vibrant, food haven for tenants, city workers and visitors.

QV1, located at the top of St Georges Terrace, houses a range of premium tenants across its 43-premium grade storeys and its ground floor plaza revitalisation will offer an exciting blend of quality food and beverage retailers.

Hip Perth eatery Mary Street Bakery has already signed up to The Grounds, currently operating a pop-up venue in the plaza with a shift to permanent premises planned when The Grounds is completed later this year.

Owners Michael Forde and Paul Aron will then turn their attention to turning the former Bar One restaurant into a contemporary inner-city tavern to be known as Quo Vadis Baby.

A complementary offering of premium bars, casual dining and ‘grab & go’ venues are expected to commit to Perth’s newest wine and dine precinct in the coming months.

The Grounds will be a striking counterpoint to the QV1 building, designed by internationally renowned modernist Harry Seidler AC.

The Grounds is scheduled for completion in early 2018 – for more details visit thegroundsqv1.com.au.
