This week could see Fremantle Dockers equal their club record of 9 consecutive wins when they take on Adelaide Crows at Adelaide Oval on Saturday at 5:40pm.
Fremantle will head to Adelaide with an unchanged line up from last week, with skipper Matt Pavlich very likely to be named in the side after hopefully overcoming his adductor soreness throughout the week. Pav was subbed out of the game last week and has been on a light training schedule this week but I assume he will suit up with the team.
I have tipped Adelaide several time this season and they just can’t seem to come through with the goods for me, and I think that will no doubt be the case again this week against Fremantle.
Adelaide are ranked equal top with Hawthorn and Gold Coast for clearances in the competition but I think they will have a hard time beating the Dockers in that department this weekend. We all know Fremantle have the best midfield in the competition right now and Aaron Sandilands has been very effective in the ruck.
I think the only thing that Adelaide will have in their favour this week is that Fremantle have only played one game at the redeveloped Adelaide Oval. In saying that, the dimensions are very similar to Domain Stadium so it may just feel like playing on their home ground for Fremantle. In which case- Adelaide are in trouble.
My tip is Fremantle to come away with the win by 30 points.
Talking points:
The midfield battle will be key as always
Sandilands is in top ruckman form
It will take a team effort from Adelaide to try and take Fyfe out of the game
