#AFLGiantsFreo: Can the Fremantle Dockers Become Giant Slayers?

Let’s be honest, it’s going to be a tough one for the Dockers this week…

The Fremantle Dockers had a great ‘away’ win last weekend over the Gold Coast Suns, getting the job done by 28 points. Alex Pearce was incredible again in defence, limiting Gold Coast’s Tom Lynch to just one goal. Skipper Nat Fyfe had another great game, finishing with 38 disposals (game high) and a goal, while Cam McCarthy was Freo’s highest goal scorer, finishing with three goals. Pearce and Fyfe both made the AFL Team of the Week for their efforts!

The Giants come into this round following a 16-point defeat at the hands of the Sydney Swans last week, which could have been a lot worse really, as Buddy Franklin uncharacteristically only kicked two goals. Jeremy Cameron was the highest goal scorer for the Giants, finishing with three goals and 17 disposals. GWS have made three changes to their line up this week, with the inclusion of pocket-rocket Toby Greene, Dawson Simpson and Ryan Griffen. They come in for Harry Perryman (omitted), Rory Lobb (injured) and Josh Kelly (injured).

The Fremantle Dockers come into this clash with an unchanged line-up from last week. Well done Ross Lyon, if it’s not broken, don’t try and fix it! I know this is going to be a tough game for the Dockers, playing away doesn’t help either. GWS have steadily turned themselves into a ‘top four’ side and the inclusion of Toby Greene is not going to help Freo’s chances this weekend. He’s a pain in the neck for his opposition, but he’s very good at what he does. Gotta give credit where it’s due!

I have a friend who doesn’t follow AFL however, she is a little bit psychic when it comes to footy tipping. She predicted that the Fremantle Dockers would win this game… So it’s basically a sure thing, right?? *teehee* I’m going to tip with my heart and not my head this week, and stick by my team! They are playing some great footy at the moment and I think their confidence is up, and they will still be riding on the momentum from their win last week.

I’m tipping the Fremantle Dockers to beat the GWS Giants by 3 points! (My tips have been pretty accurate so far this season!)
