If you haven’t already heard the name Minjee Lee, you will no doubt be hearing it a lot in the future.

Minjee is a professional golfer from Perth who has recently won her first LPGA Tour title at the Kingsmill Championship, at just 18 years of age.

This win has made Minjee just the 7th professional player to win on tour before her 19th birthday, and she bagged herself a delightful $250,000 along with her winner’s trophy.

Let’s review some of her accomplishments in her career so far:

  • Winner of the 2012 U.S. Girls’ Junior
  • Winner of the 2013 and 2014 Australian Women’s Amateur
  • Member of the 2013 Golf Australia National Squad
  • Winner of the 2014 Oats Victorian Open on the ALPG Tour
  • Lee became the number one ranked amateur golfer in February 2014
  • Winner of the Kingsmill Championship 2015

The Kingsmill Championship win also guarantees Lee a place in the upcoming US Open.

Minjee’s home golf club is the Royal Fremantle Golf Club and a lot of you will be pleased to hear that she is Fremantle Dockers supporter!
