The Perth Wildcats take on the Sydney Kings at RAC Arena on Friday night, tip-off at 6.50pm WST.

The Bogey man is coming to Perth!

The Perth Wildcats are still sitting pretty on top of the NBL ladder, with just two losses so far for the season. The Cats come into Friday night’s game on the back of an impressive 22-point win over the Cairns Taipans on Sunday, and will be ready for revenge against the Sydney Kings. The Kings are the only team that the Cats are yet to defeat this season and they will be looking to rectify that on their home court in front of the #RedArmy. They will come to the Jungle with a fully-fit team, and fire in their bellies!

Check out the Taipans v Wildcats game highlights below:

NBA Champion and Australian Olympian Andrew Bogut will play in RAC Arena for the first time in his NBL career and he will definitely be a star attraction. He currently leads the league in rebounds and blocks per game and will be looking to get the Kings their third win in a row on Friday. I’m a big fan of the ‘Bogey man’ however, I’m not too sure if my fellow Cats fans feel the same! Especially after the recent little incident with Cat’s Coach Trevor Gleeson the last time these two teams met… Love him or hate him, Andrew Bogut has been great for the NBL and Australian basketball in general.

The Cats have had to overcome a wave of injuries to key players throughout the season. Angus Brandt and his ankle, Damian Martin and that pesky calf, Terrico White’s hamstring and Bryce Cotton’s thumb have all been issues in the last couple of months. The Red Army breathed a sigh of relief when Cotton took the court on Sunday, fingers are crossed that his thumb pulled up ok after Sunday, and that he will be good to go on Friday night.

With Bryce Cotton on his way back to his brilliant best, Nick Kay impressing and improving with every game, and Damian Martin just doing legendary ‘Damo things’, I am really liking the Perth Wildcats’ chances for Friday night. I’m tipping the Cats to get the W over the Kings!
