Twitter hearts you
Twitter have changed the star icon for favorites to a heart and we’ll be calling them likes. Twitter want to make it easier and more rewarding to use, especially to newcomers. You might like a lot of things, but not everything can be your favorite.
The heart is a universal symbol that resonates across languages, cultures, and time zones – mostly impart thanks to Instagram. Twitter feel the heart is more expressive, enabling users to convey a range of emotions and easily connect with people. And in their tests, found that users loved it.
So what will Twitter Hearts actually change?
Likes will work essentially the same way as favorites; hearts will appear in the position the stars once did underneath tweets. The “favorites” section in your user profile, which shows tweets that you have favorited, will simply be renamed “Likes.”
