Welcome back! The return of the ever-popular Scarborough Sunset Markets, kicking off 1 November and running every Thursday night until 25 April 2019.

Last year’s inaugural season saw nearly 10,000 locals and visitors descend on Scarborough Beach each Thursday to spend summer nights with their toes in the sand, wandering through a market of culinary delights and sensory surprises.

This year the Scarborough Sunset Markets will be bigger and better with the markets now taking full advantage of the amazing new Scarborough Beach redevelopment, the event will span from the purpose-built Scarborough Square down to the crisp white sands of the Amphitheatre.

What to expect at the Scarborough Sunset Markets

Each week the beachfront will ignite into a celebration of all that makes Scarborough truly special – mesmerising sunsets, crystal blue ocean, crisp white sands, a foodies’ oasis, thirst quenching bevies, live music, creative artists and curated pop up stores.

Thursday nights in Perth have never looked so good as over 70 foodies and retailers come together to showcase global cuisines, local treats and handcrafted wares. From BBQ meats, toasted curries, Italian street food, Asian dumplings, gourmet hotdogs, authentic Lebanese, tasty Thai, Canarian cuisine, Malaysian satay, Egyptian eats, Brazilian bites, real Moroccan and artisan breads to award-winning gelato, eatable cookie dough, French crepes and pastries, Greek donuts, Japanese sweets, chia pudding, waffles, raw treats, healthy juices and everything in between.

And we haven’t forgotten our vegan, vego or gluten free friends with loads of options including vegan ice-cream, raw vegan treats, gluten free crepes and crème brulee to a green pasture of vegetarian dishes.

The retail stalls will ensure you get your ultimate summer shopping fix each week, with goods ranging from natural skin cares, handmade candles and kids comforters, stylish street and beach clothing, hand crafted jewellery, landscape photography, aboriginal arts, home wares, fresh flowers, dog treats, Turkish beach towels and bathers to a barber shop and relaxing massages.

Each week new vendors will be added into the mix to ensure there is always something fresh to discover at the Scarborough Sunset Markets.

And if uniqueness and fun wasn’t already in abundance – we also have an exact replica of the Doctor Who Tardis making the markets its home, to serve the people of Scarborough ice-creams, coffee and slushies. Have your Instagram at the ready as this new addition, also fit with a smoke machine, will make for one epic photo op!

Once you have grabbed your eats and retail treats, make your way down to the Amphitheatre and pull up a seat with friends and family at the long table beach dining tables or relax with your feet in the sand throughout the beach lounge.

Live music from some of Perth’s best musicians will fill the air – from the busking pitches to main stage jams.

Thanks to the incredible team at We Love Scarborough, the beach will be buzzing each night with

FREE games and activities including dodge ball, sand castle comps, weaving workshops, volleyball, totem tennis, giant Jenga and loads more!

As the sun sets into the ocean, the markets will come together to participate in the new Scarborough tradition – the Scarborough Sunset Applause. An appreciation for the day that was and excitement for the night ahead. As the applause simmers the night sky will light up with fire shows and performances from some of Perth’s most exciting fire entertainers.

There is nowhere else to be on a Thursday night in Perth as the Scarborough Sunset Markets have become WA’s most iconic beach side event for tourist and locals alike.
