In good news to start the week, Mark McGowan has confirmed there have been no new local cases recorded outside of the known 3 reported local cases from yesterday.

However, it is too early to tell whether Perth has avoided an Omicron outbreak;

“We need to expect there are more cases in the community and we need to track them down.

Test results that are returned today and tomorrow will be telling,” said Mr McGowan.

Exposure Site Update

New exposure sites have been identified in Midland, Swan View, Mundaring, Cannington, Northbridge, Beedelup, Margaret River, Forest Grove and Booragoon.

Vaccination Update

95.3% of Western Australians aged 12 and over have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination.

As for double dose vaccinations – 87.9% of Western Australians have received their double dose.

Testing Clinics

COVID Clinics in the metro area are open until 10pm tonight – if you’re feeling unwell or if you’ve been to an exposure site – get a test.

The WA Government expects 8.5 million RAT kits to have arrived ahead of the planned re-opening on February 5th.
