Largest COVID-19 spike in WA since May.

The latest Perth COVID-19 update for WA sees it’s largest spike in confirmed COVID-19 cases since May with 8 cases recorded overnight.

Of the 8 cases all are linked to overseas travellers who are now in hotel quarantine.

These new cases bring WA’s total to 644, of with 29 are active cases.

WA continues to have strong number of test performed daily with 753 people presented to WA COVID-19 clinics yesterday, with 725 assessed and 715 swabbed.

To date, there have been 214,685 COVID-19 tests performed in WA.

Meanwhile Victoria recorded another 238 new cases overnight and with fears of community spread in New South Wales 13 cases were confirmed overnight – bring the total of confirmed COVID-19 cases from the Crossroads Hotel to 33.
