This Wednesday Western Australia will proceed to Phase 5 of eased restrictions and remove all COVID-related capacity limits – allowing Western Australia will continue to lead the way in having some of the lightest COVID-19 restrictions in the world

This means that all venues state-wide will be allowed to return to 100% of their pre-COVID capacity, and all major events will be able to occur with no limit on size or crowds.

Venues will still be required to maintain contact registers and use the SafeWA app and have COVID Safety Plans in place.

“It’s another big step, and it will mean a lot to many local businesses who’ve worked hard to keep going through challenging conditions over the past 15 months.

Our controlled interstate border, and the international hard border, will remain in place – and are once again essential for allowing us to ease these restrictions within our State.” said Mr McGowan.
