WA is set to ramp up COVID-19 vaccine rollout expanding the age to include 30-year-olds.
From this Thursday individuals aged 30 to 49 years old can now get vaccinated for COVID-19 as Western Australia scale up the states COVID-19 vaccine roll-out.
Last week National Cabinet’s decided to expand the COVID-19 vaccine rollout to people aged 40 and over.
In WA, Mr McGowan announced we’re going one step further.
“Starting this Thursday, the vaccination rollout will be expanded to anyone aged 30 and over through our State-run COVID Vaccination clinics. Appointments are essential – online bookings will be available starting later today via Roll Up WA website.”
“In line with national health advice, anyone aged between 30-49 will be administered the Pfizer vaccine. Please note that this announcement only applies to the State-run vaccine rollout. Our clinics are currently located in Claremont, Joondalup, Kwinana, Redcliffe and Bunbury – with mobile clinics also available in other regional areas.”
Appointments at the clinics will be scaled up in the coming days, and further as the rollout continues to gain pace.
As of today 3.2% of the WA population is currently vaccinated.
People will be able to make bookings from today through the rollupforwa.com.au website.
More to come.
