From June 23rd — 25th experience some of the world’s finest truffle cuisine throughout the South West’s cosiest winter towns, Manjimup, Pemberton, Northcliffe, and Nannup.

Across three days, wine and dine yourself through truffle tours, farm visits, truffle hunts, truffle and wine tastings, gourmet degustation dinners, and wine masterclasses, all from the best local producers.

Curate your own itinerary with a blend of festival events and local attractions to make the most of your weekend getaway.

With the festival having drawn thousands of people to the area and its local venues last year there’s no doubt this year will be the same.

Our pick of events

To help you get the most out of the three-day festival, here are a few of the events we’re most excited about:

Fernbank Truffles – Truffle Hunt

The Manjimup Truffle and Wine Festival is a chance to see how dogs are used for truffle hunts.
The Manjimup Truffle and Wine Festival is a chance to see how dogs are used for truffle hunts.

Stroll through the truffiere at Fernbank Truffles, located just outside Manjimup, in search of the French black truffle, one of the world’s most expensive edible mushrooms. An extra exciting point of this event is that the search is led by Lily and Indi, two pooches who have been trained to track the scent of these truffles. If you feel like treating yourself, and why shouldn’t you, truffles found during the hunt will be able to be purchased afterwards for you to enjoy.

Cilantros Truffle Degustation

Located in the heart of Manjimup is Cilnatros Bar and Restaurant, here you will find an exquisite truffle degustation menu on offer on both Friday and Saturday evenings. With the option to choose from one of two entrees, two mains, and four desserts, there’s no doubt that this event will take you on a divine food journey.

Lady Truffle Masterclass Brunch

On the Saturday of the festival, Debbie Oliver, known as Lady Truffle, will be hosting a truffle masterclass brunch at the Manjimup Gateway Hotel from 10:00 — 11:00 am. Enjoy a comfortable hour of truffle talk, while you sip on local sparkling wine and nibble on toastie and eggs. At the end of the masterclass brunch, every guest leaves with 20 grams of fresh truffle.

Marron Loves Truffle Fire Pit Dinner

Once again hosted at the Manjimup Gateway Hotel, you will find the Marron Loves Truffle Fire Pit Dinner. Only being held on Saturday, enjoy a night of live music, local produce, and award-winning wines, all while mingling with guest chefs and local producers under the starry night sky.

Hidden River Estate Truffle Soirée Dinner

Also on Saturday night is the Hidden River Estate Truffle Soirée Dinner, held at their venue in Pemberton, a 25-minute drive from Manjimup. Spend the night indulging in the finest food and wine, making this dinner one to remember.

Where to stay

There is an array of accommodation options from across the four towns, from Airbnbs to hotels, motels, and lodges. However, if you do plan on going, make sure you book fast as last year’s accommodation options sold out quickly. Our recommendation, if it’s not already sold out is Ampersand Estate in Peerabeelup — set on a winery and distillery, it’s one of our favourite stays in the South West region.
