With 3 new cases confirmed overnight WA now has 6 active cases of COVID-19.

Latest Perth COVID-19 update has seen 3 new cases confirmed overnight with one of the individuals admitted to hospital.

5 remaining cases are now within hotel quarantine.

All three cases are returned overseas travellers, aged in their 30s and 40s. Two are West Australian residents and one is from interstate.

To date, 665 confirmed cases have been recovered in WA.

Yesterday 758 people presented to WA COVID-19 clinics – 735 were assessed and 728 swabbed.

There have been 402,667 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those tested, 69,135 were from regional WA.

The 3 new cases overnight come at a time when Mark McGowan agreed to the increase flight cap of international arrivals into Western Australia when Mr Morrison confirmed WA’s cap of 525 a week would be increased by 200 from September 27.
