Whether you’re grabbing it on the go or settling in for a full dining experience we’ve got you covered with the best breakfast Perth list.
Swell Mullaloo Beach
11 Oceanside Promenade, Mullaloo WA 6027
While we’re on the topic of coastal gems, here’s another one. Swell is the perfect spot to spend your morning with balcony views overlooking the ocean at Mullaloo beach and an insanely good nourish bowl full of heaps of goodness to kick-start your day- or you could opt for the bacon eggs benedict if you’re not in a healthy bowl mood.
3 Rocca Way, Wanneroo WA 6065
Hidden among shopping centres in Wanneroo, Cafe Elixir has a breakfast menu bursting with options and flavour. Their breakfast wraps and burgers put others to shame, and if you’re craving something a bit sweeter their ‘pancake corner’ has you covered- pancakes topped with roasted marshmallows and hot fudge sauce anyone?
Duck Duck Bruce
18 Collie St, Fremantle WA 6160
A quirky little cafe in Freo, Duck Duck Bruce serves up the classics along with some of their own delicious and different concoctions. The Rhubarbra Streisand featuring stewed rhubarb, strawberries, maple granola and coconut whip is a standout and with a name like that it’s not surprising.
If you call yourself a toastie fan then you’ll have surely got your hands on one from Toastface Grillah before. Go for the humble vegemite and cheese or spice it up with their smashed patty and maple bourbon cured bacon toastie. With a few stores scattered about also showcasing some super rad wall art, there’s no excuse not to pop in.
Mary Street Bakery
Mary Street Bakery needs no introduction. You can find a few around Perth all with the same ambient corner cafe vibes and tasty food. If you want to go donuts for breakfast (because why not?!) they have some of the best, take for example their humble lamington crossed with a jam donut- pure genius.
34 Marri Rd, Duncraig WA 6023
Sibling of Little Bay, Little H shares the same crisp white interior and plant-covered walls tucked in the back streets of Duncraig. Their breakfast quesadilla topped with cheese, sour cream, and avo or spicy fried chicken eggs benny is our recommendation topped off with a fresh cold-pressed juice.
305 Marmion St, Cottesloe WA 6011
Offering takeaway options or dine-in, Daisies in Cottesloe is a super cute little cafe if you’re feeling like something fresh and healthy in the morning. Their smashed avo is a signature favourite on the menu with feta, chilli dukkah and house-made chilli jam.
Moore & Moore Cafe
Housed in a heritage building this breakfast spot just screams Fremantle. Moore & Moore provides feel good food everyday of the week along with artisan coffee and specials inspired by wholesome cuisines from all over the world.
29 Scarborough Beach Rd, North Perth WA 6006
Walking into Chinta Cafe feels like you’re taking a step straight into a balinese retreat. Chinta means ‘Love’ in Indonesian and it’s a fitting name considering how we feel about their menu. Their must-try items: the fried chicken on a toasted house waffle, and their nasi campur.
Flora & Fauna
4/70 Aberdeen St, Northbridge WA 6003
You won’t be able to leave Flora & Fauna without getting a gram shot of your breakfast first. But it’s not all just show, their dishes are elaborate and tasty with edible flowers featuring regularly and heaps of vegan options that are packed with flavour.
178 Railway Parade, West Leederville WA 6007
An intimate little neighbourhood cafe, Hylin serves up great coffee and mouth-watering eats while you get cosy in amongst the greenery and modern brick walls. The smashed avo here is our first choice followed closely by their streetx chicken croissant (yes, fried chicken in a croissant exists).
Someday Coffee Co
445 Cambridge St, Floreat WA 6014
Pastel pinks and bright whites will make you feel like you’ve stepped straight into an aesthetic dream at Someday Coffee Co. As the name hints they serve up a great cup of coffee and their chai spiced porridge is the perfect soul warmer on a cold winter day.
Gordon Street Garage
16 Gordon St, West Perth WA 6005
Industrial elegance meets rustic old car garage- that’s what you’ll get as you step into Gordon Street Garage. Their coffee roast is superb and the foods not half bad either with a spiced apple and rhubarb hotcake the perfect sweet treat on your morning venture.
The Little Bay
33 W Coast Dr, Watermans Bay WA 6020
This coastal gem radiates Hampton’s vibes and serves up some of the best breakfast dishes with a glorious ocean view and a killer cup of coffee. Little Bay definitely raises the bar for breakfast dishes- their chorizo scrambled eggs and bourbon waffle with buttermilk fried chicken are absolute must-tries. If you’re looking for a quick coffee pit stop on a coastal walk they also have a takeaway window round the side for your convenience.
North Street Store
16 North St, Cottesloe WA 6011
Cottesloe locals will be well aware of this corner deli cooking up some of the best cinnamon scrolls in Perth, but that’s not all North Street Store are good for. They serve up simple yet delicious takeaway feeds that make for a filling and satisfying breakfast on the go.
331 Stirling Hwy, Claremont WA 6010
Typika is a much-loved Claremont local serving up the classics with a twist. Their baked grilled chorizo eggs are hard to go past and their artisan coffee beans will give you a delicious caffeine kick at the same time.
1/89 Caridean St, Heathridge WA 6027
Heading North again, this little cafe doesn’t need anything fancy to make it one of the tastiest brekky hangouts- just simple hearty food. Ryan John is a little corner store making up a mean crispy hash brown that you can also find in their tasty Luke Special along with bacon, cheese, BBQ sauce, sriracha, and egg.
Cherry and Grapes
20 Emerald Terrace, West Perth WA 6005
Last but certainly not least we have Cherry and Grapes. Gaining recognition for their jaw-dropping soufflé pancakes this little gem prides itself in being the perfect spot for a coffee-catch-up and insanely good food.
