Beerland aims to bring craft beer brewing north to Whitfords.

The area between Perth’s CBD and Mindarie in the northern suburbs is a brewery-free zone, a situation Beerland Brewing has plans to fix over the coming 12 months.

The team behind Perth’s Northbridge Brewing Company (NBC), is building a new venue in the new lifestyle and entertainment precinct that is being created as part of the redevelopment of Westfield Whitford City set to open in Spring 2017.

The venue, to be known as Whitfords Brewing Company, will feature an on-site brewery producing up to 120,000 litres per annum of award-winning Beerland Pale Ale, Wheat, Kolsch, IPA, Lager and regular small batch releases, all under the watch of Master Brewer Ken Arrowsmith.

Beerland spokesperson Ben Rasheed said Whitfords Brewing Company was all about bringing well-made craft beer, great food and fun times to Perth’s northern suburbs.

“We often have customers tell us that there are limited hospitality options in the northern suburbs, so when approached by Westfield with their plans to transform Whitford City we jumped right on board.

“We’re looking forward to be being part of the local community and giving people something that they would otherwise have to travel for,” he explained. “Whitfords Brewing Company will showcase all aspects of brewing with a well matched food offering, without taking it too seriously.

“Food is a big part of what we do and we will be bringing our Chilli-Week and Man vs Food events to Whitfords with a local twist!”

Mr Rasheed said Beerland was in the process of formalising its application with the liquor licensing authorities and is calling on people to complete the online survey which can be found on its website: www.whitfordsbrewingco.com.au

“It’s also the only opportunity to become a Foundation VIP Member which will carry some special benefits for those who share their thoughts with us through the online survey,” he said.
