Strange Company
They might be called strange fries, but Fremantle’s Strange Company’s fries are just plain yum!
Best paired with a Negroni or other perfectly executed cocktail, they come freshly cooked, seasoned and accompanied by smoked aioli ($9). Once you start munching, you’ll struggle to stop. Order up a batch and relax at the bar, or score a coveted spot outside where you can watch the world pass by on foot.

The Peach Pit
Seaside views, a fun vibe and fries that totally get our vote. Yep, we are big fans of Scarborough’s The Peach Pit, and all of their glorious menu options.
Hip, hip, hooray for tuckshop loaded fries (pie mix, tomato sauce and cheese) and holy toledo loaded fries (chilli con carne, jalapenos and cheese) – both available for $16. But if that’s too much for you to handle, dine on their Peach Pit chips ($10) which have an addictive special seasoning and come with two sauces on the side: tomato and aioli.
