Whether you’re craving down and dirty junk food or something fresh and light, there is a vegan option out there for you and we’ve done our bit to round up some of the best.
Here’s where to find some of Perth’s most delicious vegan eats.
1. Nuthin Fyshy
Perth weather and fish and chips just go together, and the team at Nuthin Fyshy don’t see why their plant-based pals should miss out.
They’ve been dishing out chip-shop classics like crunchy battered fysh, chips, burgers and souvas from the old Sweetlips location on Oxford Street for a little over a year now and have found themselves quite the legion of fans—both vegans and non-vegans alike.
Grab yourself a fysherman’s basket to take away and make a beeline for the coast.

2. Carina’s Kitchen
Most vegans are used to passing the bakery by, so a stop at Carina’s Kitchen can be a serious test in temptation. After all, how often do you stumble across a bakery brimming with donuts, cinnamon scrolls, cakes and a whole host of other goodies, that all just happen to be plant-based?
You’ve come this far, so you might as well treat yourself.

3. Little Beans Gourmet
This unassuming suburban restaurant has really got the goods when it comes to traditional Penang-style eats, and the best part is the entire menu is powered by plants.
Not only will you find veganised versions of street food favourites like nasi lamek, ‘chicken’ satay and curry laksa, but they also have an enormous dim sum menu that’s available on Sundays for lunch.
Might need to round up a few friends for this one.

4. The Leaf
There are few things quite as comforting as tucking into a hearty curry, and The Leaf in Leedy have got you covered with vegan / vegetarian versions of all the classics you know and love.
They’re proud to offer simple, wholesome Indian food and cater for all dietary requirements, including gluten free, no onion, and no garlic.

5. Mother
The stunning warehouse space that was once Raw Kitchen is where you’ll find Mother; a plant-based restaurant that’s just perfect for a long lunch or date night dinner.
The menu focuses on natural food and wine, featuring local ingredients and dishes made to be shared. Our suggestion? Order a bottle of your favourite vegan wine and settle in for the Feed Me menu.

6. Flora & Fauna
Flora & Fauna is best described as a little cafe with a big heart.
A mainstay on the veggie scene in Perth, the friendly team here serve up colourful and creative vegan / vegetarian dishes and sweet treats with a smile. They also host some very fancy vegan high tea events which fill up FAST, so give them a follow on Instagram and stay tuned for updates.

7. Eat Drink Raw
Eat Drink Raw take a wholefoods approach to veganism, creating dishes designed to cleanse and nourish.
Their delicious salads, smoothies and desserts are all raw, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and free from refined sugar, as well as organic and locally sourced wherever possible. No nasty chemicals or hidden ingredients here, just good wholesome food.

8. Vege Munch
If you’re not sure where to look it would be easy to walk right past Vege Munch – it’s kind of hiding in plain sight on James Street – but once you pay them a visit we guarantee you’ll want to return.
The all vegan / vegetarian menu features delicious Asian classics like wonton soup with sliced ‘pork’, rendang curry, and crispy ‘chicken’ and rice.
You can also BYO wine, which makes for a nice budget-friendly night out in Northbridge.

9. Vego Delish
Across the Causeway in Lathlain you’ll find Vego Delish, a Vietnamese-inspired restaurant with an all-vegan / vegetarian menu.
Between the delicious (and beautifully plated) dishes, friendly staff and cosy atmosphere, you’re bound to want to stay awhile, savouring each and every bite.

10. Veggie Mama
Choosing just one option from the cabinet at Veggie Mama is always something of a hard task, and to be honest, we typically always end up with something to take away.
Come in for breakfast, then grab a salad to take home for lunch or a warming curry for dinner and call it a day.

11. Healthy Thai Vegan & Vegetarian
Thai cuisine, while seemingly easily veganised, typically conceals things like fish sauce and shrimp paste, so it’s refreshing to visit a Thai restaurant that’s totally vegan-friendly.
The vast menu showcases all the classic curries, rice and noodle dishes we know and love, and the portions are generous, so be sure to come hungry.

12. The Pear’fect Pantry
Formerly found in Wembley, The Pear’fect Pantry relocated to Osborne Park in 2021 and continues to be one of the best cafes for a vegan brekky in Perth.
The menu here does cater for our carnivorous friends too, but with so many vegan options to choose from we just had to give them a mention. We think the vegan pancakes in particular deserve your attention.

13. Ramen Ichiraku
Ramen Ichiraku is another spot deserving of an honourable mention, as I think most vegans know that a meat-free ramen is a rare find indeed, especially in Perth. Here you’ll have not one but five vegan ramens to choose from, as well as tasty sides like vegan ‘chicken’ karaage and gyoza.
