With World Hearing Day on March 3rd, Hearing Australia is providing free 15-minute tests across the country.

Between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm on March 3rd, one of Hearing Australia’s big blue ‘Hearing the Nation’ buses will be at HBF Arena in Joondalup for tests.

To make it easier for more Australians to receive tests, the buses will stop in city, rural, and remote locations in every state and territory.

According to the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care, it is estimated 3.6 million people are living with some degree of auditory loss in Australia. By 2050, it is expected that one in four Australians will be impacted.

As it does every year, World Hearing Day will raise awareness on how to prevent deafness and aural loss, as well as promote better ear protection around the world.

With the theme ‘Ear and hearing care for all! Let’s make it a reality!’, the 2023 edition of World Hearing Day will highlight the importance of integrating ear care as an essential component of universal health coverage.

As more than 1,000 events are happening throughout March, further details regarding the others can be found here
