You may have heard the phrase ‘Paint & Sip’ being thrown around and wondered what all of the buzz is about. Well, as the name suggests, you can hone in on your artistic genius in a painting class while sipping away at your glass of wine at the same time- creative genius!

Maybe you want to try your hand at creating an artistic masterpiece, or maybe you’re just there for the alcohol (no judgment)- whatever the case, it’s an experience worth having and the perfect excuse to call a girls night or spice up your date night with that special someone. But which one do you choose?

Let us give you the lowdown on what’s on offer.

1. Cabernet & Canvas

Starting off with Perth’s original Paint & Sip class, Cabernet & Canvas has partnered with a range of venues across a variety of locations where they host social painting classes with resident artists.

You can try your hand at different paintings every time with everything from flowers to sunset landscapes, and all the materials are provided. Most classes include a glass of sparkling wine or cabernet, so all you need to bring is yourself and an enthusiastic smile.

2. Paint and Pinot

Produce your very own painting in a relaxed and uber cosy art studio.

Session numbers here are limited to 10 people, so you can get that intimate experience and extra support if you’re painting skills are not exactly up to scratch. It’s B.Y.O so you can bring along your fave bottle from home, and by the time you get to the bottom your painting will probably look pretty damn impressive.

3. Class Bento

You can join an existing class at Class Bento or get a larger group together and host your own paint and sip art party where you can choose your own artwork and BYO wine, beer, or bubbles.

All their classes are suitable for any level of artistry, and they have heaps of different options to choose from running regularly in a few different locations. They’ve also got cooking, pottery and photography classes, so if you’re a fan of their painting you might just find your niche in another creative discipline.

4. House of Hobby

House of Hobby has really made a name for itself with a team of amazing hosts and so many fun creative workshops on offer that you’ll have a hard time choosing just one.

Their paint and sip classes usually follow the theme of watercolour and wine, resin and rosé, or painting and prosecco. Included in every workshop is free-flowing alcohol, a gourmet grazing platter, painting supplies, and more. Make sure you jump on their classes as soon as they come out, tickets are limited and are usually guaranteed to sell out fast.
