Sculpture by the Sea will return to the sandy shores of Western Australia this year, celebrating its 20th anniversary when it descends on Cottesloe Beach next month. 

When is it?

The immensely popular, free event will run from March 1st to 18th, and is expected to attract more than 250,000 local, interstate and international visitors.

The sculptures

Sculpture by the Sea 2024 will feature more than 70 works by renowned local and international artists from 15 countries including Japan, China, England, Denmark, Iceland, Italy, New Zealand, Ukraine, and the United States.

Celebrated English artist Sean Henry is this year’s Tourism WA Invited International Artist. Known for his larger-than-life painted human figures, Henry’s iconic sculpture “Seated Man,” will be a highlight of the 2024 instalment. 

Since the exhibition’s 2005 debut with 35 sculptures, Cottesloe’s Sculptures by the Sea has showcased more than 1,200 artworks by more than 500 artists from 44 countries to an estimated 3.5 million people from across Perth and the world.
