Howdy, howdy, let’s get rowdy! You’ll soon be able to say “it’s not my first rodeo,” because the country is coming to the city. The Perth Muster is returning to The Claremont Showground on Saturday, April 13th, and it’s safe to say, you’ll want to be there.
The Rodeo
With country culture at the height of its popularity, thanks to the award-winning television series Yellowstone, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, and the release of Beyonce’s new hit Texas Hold ‘Em, there’s never been a better time to experience the scene.
The Muster will be an opportunity for punters to dust off their cowboy hats, don their rhinestones, and enjoy a day of jam-packed entertainment, with the rodeo stretching over the sunlight hours, backed up by an afternoon of musical magic, country-style.
Whether you’re fresh to the bedazzled boots or a lifelong fan, The Muster is a must-have festival experience for country music fans both old and new. Expect entertainment in the form of heart-pounding rodeo action with around 190 riders barrel racing, breakaway roping, bull riding, steer undecorating, and so much more.
The Country Music
The Muster will also feature live performances from a star-studded line-up of renowned Australian country music artists. Tennessee-based, Australian-born country phenom Morgan Evans will be the headline act. Early on in his career, Evans toured with Taylor Swift and has been making waves in the country music scene ever since. He took home the ARIA Award for Best Country Album in 2019 and currently has more than 1.2 million monthly Spotify listeners. Evans will also be supported by the capable hands — or shall we say, voices — of Travis Collins, Beccy Cole, Lane Pittman and Sara Berki.
The Extras
Enjoy a day of non-stop entertainment featuring carnival rides, roving entertainment, and food trucks galore. This year’s event will offer festival goers the chance to soar on the Ferris Wheel, spin on the Sizzler, and pull on their dancing boots at the Wild West-themed silent disco. You can also try your hand at whip-cracking, and feast on tucker from Smokr BBQ, the Little Corn Truck, and more.
