Perth Media Guru Kat Dumont takes to the South Pacific for Survivor

She spent the last few years working in Australian cricket, now former brand manager Kat Dumont has taken a leap away from sports media and joined the cast of Survivor.

According to previews airing on Ten, the show is set to portray Kat as a ‘Princess’ – who’s arrived dressed for a six-star resort in paradise, but is set for a rude awakening. Coming up against Des the no-bullshit country Queenslander type.

We know Kat is a lot tougher than she might appear, so we’ll see what happens.

Kat’s already getting a load of attention from that preview, with the Courier Mail in Brisbane reporting Kat has come up against the no-nonsense, lazy man strategist Queenslander, Des.

“While an ad teases a clash between the pair, with Des saying Kat looked like she belonged on the “cafe latte set”, Confidential hears the leopard print-sporting blonde is “no princess” and she was actually born in country WA — which just might mean she’s capable of more than her big gold necklace and floppy sun hat let on.”

Survivor Season 3 filmed in Samoa from May to July 2016 and airs on Network Ten – the previous shows aired on Nine (2002), Seven (2006) – so Survivor Australia is making a comeback a decade in the making.

With Three tribes of eight, this survivor is set to be an extremely competitive affair. Given how much the show likely costs to create, we expect it to be quite the show.
