Western Australia Government asks for a new trial.

Mark McGowan will not stop fighting for WA’s borders as the Western Australia Government has submitted an appeal to the Federal Court to reset the WA Border v Clive Palmer case.

The reset has been requested since the Federal Government’s public withdrawal of their support for Clive Palmer. However, that evidence remains part of the case and was given in support of Clive Palmer’s position.

Now that the Federal Government is no longer in support of Clive Palmer and his war against the Western Australia government and its hard border, Mr McGowan is hopefully of a reset, however very mindful that the damage may have already been done.

“But the simple truth is that because the case had already been underway, and evidence had already been given by the Federal Government, there is a real risk that the damage was done.” Mr McGowan states.

“Whatever happens next, I can assure you that I will not stop fighting for Western Australia. We will do whatever we can to maintain our strong measures to help reduce the risk of COVID-19 returning in our community and help get our economy back on track.”

More to come.
