Seems Perth venues are dropping like the stock market.

While Perth’s not been ordered to go into lockdown (at this stage) there are certainly less and less options remaining for those trying to live a normal life – at least until such time as they’re notified otherwise.

Hospitality work can’t be done from home, but with less punters and an uncertain future venues are trying to save themselves by closing before they’re ordered to.

This especially hits the bigger venues as they struggle to adhere to the social distancing requirements imposed by the government to inhibit the spread of Coronavirus.

One of these big announcements today was that The Camfield closed its doors.

As if footy season wasn’t weird enough without The Camfield closing.

The Camfield joins Little Creatures as notable large-scale hospitality venues erring on the side of caution and shutting their doors until the madness clears.

Many venues have pivoted to offer takeaway and deliveries to help keep them viable during our Coronavirus pandemic.

A popular example is The Windsor Hotel – now offering takeaway and delivery of both food and alcohol.

You can see our full list here.

Best wishes to The Camfield staff and management, we hope to see them back up and running asap.

On the meantime please support your local businesses as much as you can with takeaways, deliveries and even gift vouchers that can be redeemed post-COVID-19.

It will really make a difference to our vibrant hospitality scene and help your favourite watering holes, gin joints and eateries stay afloat through uncertain waters.

We’re going to do our best to keep Perth updated on the latest venue closures – although it might be quicker to list the ones that are still open at this rate…
