Optus Stadium has been named Venue of the Year at the Stadium Business Awards.

Here in Perth, we’re well aware that Optus Stadium is pretty spectacular, but it’s now earned its place on a global scale after being named Venue of the Year at the Stadium Business Awards announced in Manchester.

It came up against some pretty steep competition like Footprint Centre in Arizona, Capital One Arena in Washington, UBS Arena in New York State, Europa-Park Stadion in Germany, and the Stade Me Abdoulaye Wade in Senegal, but ultimately came out on top and snagged the crown from all the other contenders. Go Perth!

The Stadium Business Awards recognise leadership, innovation & achievement in the delivery, operation, and management of sports facilities globally, and Optus was judged on its ability to deliver and grow during a period of uncertainty with the addition of Stadium Karts, two new rooftop attractions and a rapidly growing Meetings and Special Events business.

Now when anyone asks, we can really say our sporting venue in Perth is world-class.
