‘The Cubby’ is an immersive new play area being unveiled at Karrinyup.

Round up the kids for hours of fun because Karrinyup is turning it up another notch with their latest reveal.

Appropriate for all ages, a major new playground has opened at Karrinyup – ‘The Cubby’- is set to wow with shallow water play, nature play, a climbing wall, sandpit and mud kitchen (you’re welcome mum), swings, slides, fireman poles, trampolines and swinging benches. Seriously, we even want a turn on this.

Located at the entrance of the new West Deck precinct, parents and visitors can sit and relax nearby with a coffee in hand from one of the many new cafes as the kids wear themselves out in the multi-level cubby house.

There are shady grassed areas and landscaped surroundings complete with trees, tables and benches perfect to set up a mid-day picnic or grab a tasty takeaway from surrounding restaurants.

No other local shopping centre offers anything like this. AMP Capital’s Divisional Investment and Development Manager in WA, Scott Nugent, said the new playground and wider West Deck precinct is a place for the local community to explore, play, socialise and relax.

“We know that Karrinyup is an important hub for the local community. Our new external play and landscaped area will surprise and delight children and parents alike. It has been designed to encourage engagement and enjoyment with the new-look centre, and much like the wider offering at Karrinyup, will not be found anywhere else in Perth.”

Opening Thursday October 28th, there’s no time to waste in gathering the tribe and heading down to check out the major redevelopment and fun, interactive experiences.

The West Deck

The West Deck as part of Karrinyup’s major redevelopment offers some of WA’s most anticipated new eateries and entertainment venues.

Think Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq, Good Company, HOYTS cinemas, Authentic Bites and Dumpling House and more.

There’s no shortage of things to enjoy in the new area.
