A WA COVID-19 weekend update has seen 1 new case confirmed and 3 active cases now remaining in the state.

In the latest Perth COVID-19 update, we continue to edge closer to ‘absolute 0’ only to have a new case emerge as we are right on the cusp of 0 active cases within the state.

The Department of Health has reported one new case of COVID-19 in Western Australia overnight, bringing WA’s total to 656.

We can confirm the new case is a man in his 40s who has returned from overseas travel.

WA now has 3 active COVID-19 cases, after dropping to 2 active cases on Saturday.

To date, 644 confirmed cases have recovered from the virus in WA.

In regards to testing in WA, yesterday 509 people presented to WA COVID-19 clinics – 488 were assessed and 487 were swabbed.
