Perth Lockdown Day 3 update 0 new local cases recorded overnight.

The latest Perth COVID-19 update from Premier Mark McGowan on Perth Lockdown Day 3 sees Western Australia record 0 new local cases.

Mr McGowan was happy to announce 360 close that contacts have been identified in the community cluster – 295 of these have tested negative so far. In addition, 2503 casual contacts have been identified and 1173 have again tested negative.

15,809 tests were conducted yesterday in Western Australia.

“This is a very large number. But the next 24 hours are crucial. We need you to get tested. If you’re experiencing symptoms, if you’ve been to an exposure site and even if you’ve already tested negative and then subsequently developed symptoms, we want you to get tested again.” Mr McGowan urged West Australians.

Will the Perth Lockdown end on Saturday?

To this point there has been no official date/time on when the Perth Lockdown will end.

“I want to thank everyone who has done the right thing so far. The more people we have tested the more confidence we can have when taking the next steps.

It is important that every Western Australian keeps checking the website for any new exposure sites, new sites and times will be added when necessary, along with what actions, people need to take. We want to find as many potential contacts as possible. When it comes time to lift restrictions,” said Mr McGowan.

More to come.
