Gluten free Perth restaurants and cafes serving up tasty options for sensitive tummies.

Whether you’re gluten-free by choice, coeliac, dating a nongluten eater, or regularly schedule lunch dates with your gluten-free friend, there are plenty of Perth restaurants and cafes that are upping their game on the gluten-free front for those whose stomachs are on the more sensitive side.

No longer will you have to choose from three measly salads and sigh as you skim past other delicious options because the gluten-free scene in Perth has never been better- and these 20 Perth restaurants and cafes are leading the charge with fully dedicated menus or a select few options we love.

Sweetwater Rooftop Bar

Magnificent cocktails aren’t the only thing to love at Sweetwater Rooftop Bar in Fremantle.

Nothing excites our non-gluten selves more than when a place has an entire section dedicated to gluten-free options- that’s right, a whole menu. Safe to say they really know how to nail it.

Choose from noodles to slurp, fragrant curry, chili fried chicken, and more. You want it, they’ve probably got it.

Il Locale

If you’ve been in this no gluten gig for a while, you’ll know how hard it is to find a decent gluten-free pizza base. Well, it’s time for a visit to Il Locale.

I too was a firm believer in the beginning that a gluten-free pizza base cannot possibly taste as good as a normal base, but my doubts were put to rest after eating here. Made from scratch and lovingly wood-fired, it’s the perfect balance of fluffy and crunchy in real authentic Italian style- you almost wouldn’t believe it’s zero gluten.

Add some high-quality, flavourful ingredients on top and you’ve got yourself some of the best pizza in Perth.

Angel Falls Grill

Everything at Angel Falls Grill is 100% gluten-free. Yes, you read that right.

One of the only spots in Perth where you can experience the bursting authentic flavours of Venezuelan eats, they’ve curated a deliciously juicy menu of smoked meats and perfectly grilled tender steaks that will have you licking the plate clean. Their dishes are all made from old family recipes using corn as a base, so they are all naturally gluten-free- music to our ears!

Double Rainbow

You’ll find Double Rainbow on the ground floor of The Rechabite with a huge selection of bites for any dietary requirements.

Head Chef Navarre Top combines traditional Korean ingredients with fine WA produce for a result of loud, vibrant, and exciting dishes that are brimming with flavours and, for the most part, gluten-free. Think beetroot and radicchio salad, juicy dumplings, grilled octopus, marinated pork loin, and more.

This plant-based Fremantle gem has been in the spotlight for healthy eats seekers, vegans, vegos, and everyone in between for quite some time.

Originally The Raw Kitchen, Mother does everything natural, fresh, nourishing, and mostly gluten-free. Everything is made sustainably and on-site, and you’ll find stunning healthy dishes like risotto, vegan cheese platters, ‘mozzarella’ filled gnocchi, and arancini on the menu. They’ve also got gluten-free beer and natural wines to wash it all down- winning!

Veggie Mama

Making healthy taste good, Veggie Mama has been nourishing the diet-restricted and vegetarian eaters of Mount Lawley for some time.

The cute little cafe features cabinets filled with salads, cold meals, sweet treats, and more that you’ll feel good about eating on your weekly lunch stop. Their wholesome ingredients focus around gluten-free, egg-free and dairy-free, so won’t wreak havoc on your digestive system.

Bayside Barista

Heading south of the river, let’s talk about Bayside Barista.

They are a 100% gluten-free cafe with accreditation from Coeliac Australia, so these guys are the real deal. You’ll be able to happily chow down on burgers, spinach and feta risotto, loaded fries, and pancake stacks without a care in the world.

General Public Food Co

We’ve mentioned our obsession with Il Locale’s bases, but we can’t go past giving a shout-out to General Public Food Co for their gluten-free slices.

The pizzas include toppings like Mexican, carbonara, pulled pork, beef brisket, and prosciutto, with sides varying from tasty (and gluten-free) halloumi or loaded fries. They also do brunch with a gluten-free ‘pockets’ option if you need a mid-morning feed.

The Standard

A perfect sunny afternoon drink spot or night out on the town stop, and also a pretty decent gluten-free option for your mid-week work lunch or dinner plans.

Their menu is modern Australian eats, craft beer, and cocktails all served up in a chic 2-story bar or leafy courtyard area. Host your next girl’s lunch and drinks here and cater for any of your dietary restricted friends with a heap of grazing plates and smaller share plates.

The Little Banksia

We’re about to put you on to a seriously good hidden gem in Kensington, so listen up.

The Little Banksia is a huge hit with the locals, and its vibrant menu features plenty of gluten-free options to keep the digestive system happy. You can’t go past trying the smashed avo toast, cauliflower and cumin fritters, super salad, or banksia breakfast, and the gluten-free bread substitution they serve up is seriously good.

Peko Peko

Rolling up some of the best sushi around town, Peko Peko may just be one of Perth’s best-kept secrets for those in the know.

For those not in the know, here are the details: handmade sushi, wholesome takeaway salads and noodle dishes, irresistible rice paper rolls, and a miso ginger sauce that will knock your socks off. Plenty of gluten-free, healthy options await you here, so don’t miss out on giving them all a go.

One of Perth’s fave Mexican hot spots, el PÚBLICO just so happens to have a menu full of gluten-free options for your next tequila-fueled dinner.

The hip little bar rarely sees a quiet night, and the best way to experience all the deliciousness is by grabbing a bunch of friends and getting a wide range of plates to share, with everything from tacos to mini quesadillas or chipotle potatoes.

La Cholita

Speaking of insanely good Mexican, La Cholita is killing the game.

The lively venue is often packed to the rafters in a testament to the fabulous cocktails and eats they’re serving up. Sadly their whole menu is not gluten-friendly, but you’ve still got options available on faves like their iconic guacamole and crispy-flour tortillas, beef brisket taco, or spiced pork belly, therefore earning it a place in our list.

Neon Palms

Inspired by 80s Miami and filled with colourful drinks, neon-clad walls, and holiday vibes, Neon Palms is your city escape to warmer times and summer flavours.

They’ve more recently transformed their kitchen into Vice Burger, and all the flavourful burgs come in gluten-free options- because we gluten intolerant folk need to be able to enjoy a good burger joint too. You’ll find some nodding to the classics and some dialing up on the adventurous flavours, but all best enjoyed with a boozy slushy or freshly shaken Neon Margarita.

All are up there as some of the best eats in town, and all serve up some incredible gluten-free options. You can go for southeast Asian fusion flavours at Tonic & Ginger, or delightful modern pub fare at The Arbor or Mr Chapple.

This West Leederville health hub cuts all the nasties out of food with no processed products or refined sugars- just good, wholefood ingredients made with love.

Though only small, their menu caters to the gluten intolerant, vegans, vegetarians, or meat lovers, including dishes like GF apple pie pancakes, a macro bowl, or a breakfast hash. It’s the perfect breakfast or brunch stop for a refreshing meal that will keep you fuelled up.

There’s something magical going on in Inglewood, and it’s Finlay & Sons.

One taste of their hearty all-day breakfast options will have your tastebuds singing, and there are plenty of options for any dietary requirements (gluten-free folk rejoice), but a special shoutout to the hash brown benny and smashed avocado.
