Bunnings will be the hottest ticket in town this weekend as the sausage sizzle returns.
The Bunnings Sausage sizzle is back in Perth!
Earlier this month we reported the good news that at some stage in late July the Bunnings Sausage Sizzle would return and here we are.
The snags will be back in action this weekend at selected stores in Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.
While footy is back and Optus Stadium is at half capacity, the real champion of coronavirus restriction easing must be being able to enjoy a snag on our weekend visit to Bunnings.
Bunnings Chief Operating Officer, Deb Poole seems as excited as the punters “we know community groups and customers in other states are just as keen to see them return, so we’re really excited to be bringing them back to Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia this weekend.”
The BBQ will be fired up this weekend and it will be back to business for the many community group and charities as it has been 130 days since the last Bunnings sausage sizzle was served due to the cancellation in March amid the first wave of peak COVID-19 activity in Australia.
Community groups who had sausage sizzles pre-booked during the lockdown are being prioritised for the restart with over 200 groups booked for this weekend in QLD, SA and WA.
Which Perth Bunnings stores will be serving up sausage sizzles?
WA stores that will be serving up sausage sizzles are yet to be officially announced, but we will be keeping our ear to the ground – so watch this space.
To ensure the safety of Bunnings snags punters changes will be put in place.
There will be separate ordering and pick-up points to allow for 1.5m physical distancing.
Also, there will be added staff on hand to ensure all areas are sanitised regularly.
